We studied Italy for our history and cultural studies unit in the fall of 2023. We borrowed many books from the library to read and learn about the country. One such book, a true story called Pippo the Fool, inspired and impacted us so much that we longed to go to Italy to see the Duomo in Florence in person. Lo and behold, we found ourselves there in December 2023 through sheer serendipity! How wonderful and surreal to ‘live out’ the books we had read and bring this beautiful country and culture to life!
